Third project from the Cabin series explores the relationship between the living pod and the exoskeleton.
I was studying under Eric Owen Moss and the construction of his latest project '(W)rapper' was being developed. He frequently asked ontological questions within architecture. "What is a column? What is a beam? What is a wall? He made me question the functional limits and the assembly method of architectural elements, as the act of doing so could potentially unlock new ways of building and inhabting.
This is one of many examples where there multiple tricks to designing the exoskeleton; the way it lifts, the way is wraps, and the way it overlaps.
This is not your usual piloti structure.
