Immunity Cafe is a three-story green living facility that thoughtfully adapts to the site's unique shape and complies with South Korea's building regulations designed to ensure adequate sunlight exposure for neighboring properties. These regulations often require architects to incorporate diagonal slicing in the massing of northern-facing structures, effectively shaping the building's form to prevent overshadowing adjacent areas.

In this design, the mandated diagonal cuts are transformed into a compelling architectural feature. They intersect with extruded elements such as enlarged windows and a perimeter staircase, which extend outward from the sliced massing. These protrusions not only enhance the building's aesthetic appeal but also serve functional purposes by reflecting the interior circulation and highlighting key spaces on the exterior.

By embracing and creatively interpreting these sunlight-preserving regulations, Immunity Cafe achieves a harmonious balance between compliance and innovative design, resulting in a structure that is both functional and visually engaging.
